General Manager – Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration

We are currently searching for a general manager for commercial HVAC & refrigeration, serving Oakland, Wayne and Washtenaw counties. This position offers full autonomy to run company operations with ownership support on strategy and growth. Great opportunity for someone who’s been running someone else’s shop for years and is ready to run their own!
Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration
- Experience managing technicians and running day-to-day operations
- Ability to dispatch and estimate
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with multi-site commercial accounts (restaurants, schools, property management, etc)
- P&L Awareness with a focus on operations and growth
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Michigan Mechanical Contractors License with minimum following classifications:
- Classification 2(b): HVAC Equipment (includes ductwork, gas piping, and venting)
- Classification 4(d): Refrigeration
- Classification 8(h): Unlimited Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service
Additional classifications strongly preferred:
- Classification 1(a): Hydronic Heating and Cooling and Process Piping
- Classification 3(c): Ductwork
- Classification 6(g): Unlimited Heating Service
- Classification 10(e): Fuel Gas Piping and Venting
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
